Tri This Thursday: Green Nut Butter?..., Ultra Warm Running Tights + More
Tune in Thursdays to see some of our favorite products and experiences we have TRI'ed lately.
88 Acres Pumpkin Butter
That green stuff? It's pumpkin seed butter and it is so tasty! I met the founders of 88 Acres (triathletes!) at the FounderMade conference and they asked me to create a recipe using the pumpkin seen butter. It is so good that I ate almost the whole jar by the spoonful and realized that it's best to let it be the star ingredient on my pre-workout special: toast with bananas and honey. (www.88acres.com)
Taiyaki Ice Cream
Looking for a post workout splurge that's really, really worth it? Taiyaki is a small ice cream shop in Chinatown/Little Italy, NYC which serves homemade soft ice-cream in Japanese fish-shaped waffle cones. We black sesame/matcha swirl with a red bean paste stuffed fish decorated with mochi! If you like Asian dessert flavors - put this on your NYC to do list! (www.taiyakinyc.com)
Adidas Clima Heat Gear
Winter is in full swing here in NYC. This gear is incredibly warm without adding extra bulk. I love the tights, the insulated running shirt and the jacket is a lined shell- so warm and toasty. The shoes are the new Supernova Sequence which I wear for my long training runs. (http://www.adidas.com/us/women-climaheat)

Ice Skating at Brookfield Place
Sunday Funday skating while the sun is setting. Another reason to love Brookfield Place! The temporary rink is a great active kid activity. And there's Sprinkles cupcakes right upstairs...
