We're hosting an anniversary BBQ for some friends this afternoon. My contribution to the event (other than the venue) will be sliced heirloom tomatoes sprinkled with sea salt. Although this is simple and takes no time to prepare, it might just be the tastiest thing on the table.
Tomatoes are everywhere right now, so finding the perfect tomatoes is not hard. The hard part is choosing between the many varieties of heirlooms. When I was at the CSA this morning, I figured I couldn't go wrong with one or two of each. I'm sure even the ones that aren't so pretty will be crowd pleasers!
