Water was over 80 degrees! The photographer must have been on one of the pontoons, which made for a nice race start photo - you can actually see the fronts of the racers. LW on the left, RW in the middle, SJ on the far right.
The winner: A very fast Doug Clark. As close as we'll ever come to racing Andy Schleck in a triathlon!

It was a close one: together on the swim, together on the bike and together until mile 2 of the run. Bec made a move on a downhill to open up a gap, but Laurel surged in the final 1/2 mile to make the difference at the line only 9 seconds.
The run was hilly, so the splits are actually good ones. So many good athletes out on the course -- including SJ who came out of retirement to place 7th overall.
